So sorry

Sun Dec 13, 2009, 12:36 PM
Due to Murphy's Law, computer problems came up like the day after my last entry. If I can get someone to take a picture for me, I will have one taken of Eyegore today. Sure, I could take the picture myself, but it's best if I can puppeteer him instead.
The magazine is finished for this month. It was a day late and not as good as I hoped, but it is finished. There was less of my own stuff in it than I had originally planned, but that's actually probably for the best. 1 story and 1 photo really were enough. And thanks to people actually helping, I was able to make it 12 pages. But due to computer problems and all, I didn't have enough time to make it quite as polished looking as I should have. But without any specific deadlines this month I will have time to learn Scribus better and have some sort of page layout set up before putting things in.
The sculpture I was working on is still unfinished and possibly will remain so for awhile. The fact I'm having to finish it using paper mache pretty much negates the whole point of having started it anyway. But the good news is that I had a drawing to make an art doll for someone who submitted to my magazine and I'll be starting work on her doll this afternoon. Pictures WILL be put up tomorrow.

Ahhh, I can breathe now

Tue Dec 1, 2009, 12:57 PM
Now that NaNoWriMo is finally over, I can breathe and start putting stuff up here and start viewing other peoples' work.

I'm probably not putting anything from my NaNoWriMo writing up here this time because I have no idea what I'll be doing with it. I may try to self publish it. I may actually try submitting it some places. We'll see once I have the story finished and edited.

Still working on the magazine. I was feeling a bit down about so few submissions, but then looking through forums on another website and seeing how pretentious so many of the writers are there, I'm pressing on. I really want this magazine to work and to be a place for more "regular" writers and artists to get involved. A place for people without huge egos and possibly even like me and have low self esteem.

This week I will be posting pictures of Eyegore finally. I'm also hoping to finish the sculpture I started a couple of weeks ago and posting pictures of it here. And of course once I get the front cover for the magazine finished, it will be put here.

A Tuesday post

Tue Nov 24, 2009, 1:38 PM
I meant to be more involved on here the last couple of weeks, but between NaNoWriMo and my own distractions I simply haven't.
Yeah, I'm still writing for it. And I'm terribly behind. Not behind enough I won't be able to finish, but behind enough that I'm going to have to push myself to write a huge chunk of it this week.
And I'm continuing on with my magazine. It will be available as a PDF through scribd for free or in printed form from a print on demand site for whatever price it costs for the number of pages it comes out to be (the place charges $.20 per page in 4 page increments). I've changed the scope of the magazine to also include Mystery because of playing a murder mystery game last night.

It's been how long?

Mon Nov 9, 2009, 10:58 AM
I can't believe that despite my best intentions, I've been inactive on here for so long. I'm sure any watchers I once had are gone now.
So, where have I been? BlogTV sucked me in for awhile. Also, I've been sick a lot off and on this fall and I seem to have chronic Bronchitis. But now I'm back and I have plans of submitting stuff once again. No, really I do plan on it this time. Because of my chronic bronchitis, I'm not taking classes this upcoming semester as planned and instead I'm going to be working on different art skills.
So, what can we expect? Well, I am trying to make a magazine again. So expect to see at least the cover for it here. Also, it is November. Which means I'm doing NaNoWriMo. I may or may not put an exert from my story up, but I will put the cover up. There will also be puppets. The ones I use for my BlogTV show will be first, then my Project Puppet entry. Then I'll take pictures of other puppets I may make. There will also be some sketches and drawings. And last, but not least... art dolls. Yeah. I've been interested in art dolls for years, but I've never actually forced myself to finish one. But in the upcoming months I will be doing some.
So, yeah. I'm pretty much embracing my Jack of All Trades nature and not going to limiting or focusing myself on just one thing.

Still alive. I think

Mon Jul 6, 2009, 9:59 AM
Yeah. I haven't been too active here lately. I did do Halloween stuff like I said I would back in October. I never did do much of the other stuff I mentioned except for the puppets. The Halloween stuff is up on my badly made website and I will be doing corpses and such this year.
As for puppets... I don't actually have anything made which I feel is good enough to be here. I do have some put on my Blog account. I did do a puppet a day for a month. Most of them were just made so I could say I did one a day. lol.
So... What's next? If I can get the motivation I do plan to do one or two anime character puppets to put pictures of up here as examples of what I could make.
I may also start sculpting again. What... I don't know. Masks are unlikely. Latex puppets are unlikely too. My remaining latex will probably be used for corpse making. Maybe I'll try art dolls or something of the like. I suppose we'll see what inspires/motivates me in the weeks/months to come.
