Even though it's a simple edit, I like the background you chose, and I like how she looks like she's actually there, as though she was posed there on the spot for the photo.

Critiques: Some shadows couldn't hurt. Maybe some face paint or tattoos on the model to make the pic more of your own thing... Perhaps some animals near your elf... or someone watching her from behind? Those are the only suggestions I can think of.

Thanks. I may try adding some shadows. As for adding anything else, I don't think I will. I like the simplicity of this picture. And I like the fact it's barren of any other life. I might change her clothes some, though. Thanks for the suggestions. I may try them if I use another one of your stock photos, though.

You're welcome! I know the suggestions I gave sounded picky. You had asked for an advance critique, and these were the only things I could think of to suggest. It's a very nice piece, and it's hard to find any faults. The only thing I thought was "more of everything." Which was meant more as a compliment than as an actual crit.

Good fudge in ... SOmetimes simple works well.... like here

But the devil is always in the details ..and it's the devil we admire in art...

It could use a few tweaks to increase the feeling she was really there ...but as it is....... it still makes you wanna check it out ...

( you could airbrush some fog ( white ) on a seperate layer in front of her....then take down the transparency of that layer down until it suggests that the fog is present in the foreground as well ) ( you could also repeat that process on another front layer only instead of white or grey fog..use the predominent color you have going here.. )
( both layers should be vary subtle )

some burning and dodging ( shading and highlighting ) to parts of her would help fit her in better also

LAstly ...( for futrure ref ) ..YOu'll notice you set her down in such a place ...that her right arm matches the tree trunk bottom behind her...This does not help the viewer's eye imediately set her forth from the bcakground and confuses her depth in the picture ...Placing her slightly aside and back ( shrinking her slightly ) would have also helped increase the merging of the two pics i think ...
